Who we are ?
PEIFL has been awarded two labels: it is a competitiveness cluster at French national level and a PRIDES (regional cluster for innovation and solidarity-based economic development) at regional level. It brings together more than 200 stakeholders.
The strategy of PEIFL is to favourably position the fresh and processed fruit and vegetable sector, and to structure innovation by stakeholders across the sector – in plant breeding, agriculture, food production, manufacturing of active ingredients, logistics and marketing (wholesalers, supermarkets, out of home, and specialist channels).
The Cluster’s stakeholders share a vision: to help create value added in order to enable sustainable economic development for all stakeholders – individually and collectively – in the fruit and vegetable sector, by addressing social and environmental challenges.
PEIFL works mainly at inter-regional level across greater south-east France (in the regions of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon and Rhône-Alpes). But it also seeks to provide national leadership for fruit and vegetable stakeholders and for other food-industry clusters which have set up partnerships with the fruit and vegetable sector.
